What is it?

ZUMBA is a fusion of Latin and International music – dance themes that create a dynamic, exciting and effective fitness class!  The routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body.  Truly “exercise in disguise.”  Join the party!

How Often Should I Take a Class?  You can party everyday!

What Do I Need To Bring?

  • Comfortable workout clothes
  • Proper gym shoes, cross-trainers or dance shoes preferred
  • Water bottle
  • Towel
  • No dance experience required
  • Positive attitude, leave your cares at the door – you won’t need them to Party! 

Describe a typical class

  • The class begins with 1-2 warm-up songs to warm up the major muscles of the body.  The warm-up songs include demonstrative movements that will be used throughout the class.
  • This is followed by a series of songs including a wide variety of dance styles:  salsa, merengue, samba, hip-hop, reggae, Bollywood and many others.
  • Each move is shown its simplest form, and is gradually progressed to the more advanced version.
  • The class ends with 1-2 cool-down songs to slowly lower the heart rate and stretch the major muscles we just rocked out!
